From Athens, Mykonos or Santorini

Naxos can be accessed by ferry from Rafina (mainland Athens), Mykonos or Santorini. The ferries often have a very limited schedule  between low and high season, so please do consult the timetable before booking your flights – this will allow you to line up your transport as best as possible. From Naxos Port

Villa Elpis is on a hill and we recommend a taxi or a car to the property. If you wish to use taxis, please let us know in advance and we will put you in touch with our trusted taxi driver. It takes approximately 15 minutes from the port to Villa Elpis – you will receive precise directions to the house before your arrival.

It is essential to rent a car on the island. Please book your vehicle as early as possible as they are often extremely limited during July and August (the summer season). See our trusted rentals below on Naxos:
The closest bakery and cafe is only a 4 minutes drive away. Chora (Naxos town) is 15 minutes by car. There you can find tavernas, pharmacies and shops. There is also a large supermarket on route to town which is 12 minutes by car.Naxos is famous for his golden sandy beaches and Villa Elpis has some beautiful beaches in close proximity. Distances by car:
  • Plaka beach –  6 minutes 
  • Mikri Vigla beach –  6 minutes 
  • Agia Anna – 10 minutes
